Three Larne Athletic Club members travelled some distance to Scotstown in County Monaghan on Saturday to compete in the NI and Ulster Masters Cross Country Championship. The race was held over five laps, totaling 7500m, on what is probably the only completely flat area for miles around. At first the course looked remarkably dry and well drained; however this proved premature as large stretches turned to thick, heavy mud as the race progressed.
